Māmānuina o Aoga Amata: Contextualizing the Pedagogy of Samoan Identity in Early Learning EducationIn Early Learning Education (ECE) the Fa’aSamoa nurtures the identity of tamaiti ma teineiti, or small girls and boys through curriculum and play. In this way it is the both visible and invisible way it creates a cultural foundation of knowledge. From this, a cultural context can be recognized and deployed to analyze the methods of how identity is taught to children.
